“I wish I could say I had a story that the SafeForce™ device has in some way prevented me from having a major accident, but I can’t. It has however provided me with a new awareness that driving fast does not always save time. When I was stationed in Baton Rouge, my partner and I would have contests about who could go the longest without getting an over force count. While at first it was meant as a means of competition between us, the longer we went the more we pulled for each other. The competition somehow transformed competitiveness into teamwork, what a paradox. Through making it a competition between ourselves, we raised our awareness, and actually lessened the stress going to calls; instead of being in a rush and fumbling through the map book; we gained somewhat of a more peaceful outlook which in turn we were more composed on scene; and the net result is that it did not hinder our travel time to the scene.
